Tuition is based on actual instructional hours, not flat per-course rates. A base semester fee covers a set amount of instruction; additional hourly rates apply only if more time is needed. Because of the mastery-learning model, students who grasp material quickly often spend fewer hours — and pay less — than traditional schools. Contact Edify for a personalized estimate based on your student’s courses and pace.

Two units (equivalent to two years) of history/social science required, including: one year of world history, cultures or historical geography and one year of U.S. history; or one-half year of U.S. history and one-half year of civics or American government.
Two units (equivalent to two years) of science are required (three units are strongly recommended), providing fundamental knowledge in two of the following: biology, chemistry, or physics. A yearlong interdisciplinary or earth and space science course can meet one year of this requirement.
Science (D) courses listed under the engineering, computer science and applied science disciplines can only be used to fulfill the recommended third year of science (D).
Two units (equivalent to two years, or through the second level of high school instruction) of the same language other than English (three units recommended). LOTE levels are defined by the number of years of high school instruction; e.g. LOTE 1 = 1 yr.; LOTE 2 = 2 years, etc.

Most schools teach to the middle — Edify teaches to the individual. Every session is adapted to where your student actually is, not where the class is supposed to be.
Edify students benefit from integrated support: your Edify counselor helps align Edify coursework with your overall academic strategy, ensuring course selection, pacing, and timing all work toward your college goals.

Yes. This program is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and our courses are approved by the UC. Additionally, they are approved by the NCAA for aspiring collegiate student-athletes.
There is no minimum number of hours of instruction required to complete a course. Students complete a course once they have satisfied the requirements of the curriculum, regardless of how much or how little time they have spent in class. Many students re-taking courses bring prior knowledge and progress quickly. Other students who find the material challenging may need more time. We do not require any number of lessons. Once you demonstrate mastery of course outcomes, you will have finished the course.
We offer a robust catalog of UC-approved courses.
We offer a base flat-rate tuition, payable in installments, which covers a set amount of instruction each semester; additional hourly tuition applies only if a student requires more time beyond that base. Unlike other 1:1 schools in the Bay Area, our mastery-learning model does not impose minimum course hours. Once a student demonstrates understanding and mastery of the material through formal assessment, the course is considered complete. This approach makes it possible to tailor the pace, depth, and duration of instruction to each learner.
